Alex Morozov is a highly experienced IT Manager, with 24 years in the IT field. For the last 14 years he has worked as a Director of IT and Chief Technology Officer in two major Midwest Financial Corporations. Ron is one of Indiana’s most recognized technology entrepreneurs and visionaries. He has spent his entire professional career leveraging technology to enhance business practices, improve operational performance and facilitate organizational growth. He co-founded BitWise Solutions in 1992 and has served as the company’s president and chief executive officer ever since. He is responsible for the company’s long-term vision, strategic alliances and day-to-day operations. Ron has grown the company from a start-up into one of the state’s most accomplished and well-respected technology consultancies. As a serial entrepreneur, Ron has started half-dozen companies and assisted dozens in their startup and planning phases.

Ron is a recognized leader in Indiana’s economic and business development landscape, and is actively involved in dozens of business and philanthropic organizations throughout the state. His passion toward civic entrepreneurship has led him to be of service to many organizations in the Central Indiana community and abroad. The business community has honored him with a number of awards including the Indianapolis Business Journal’s "Who’s Who in Information Technology" and the “40 Under 40” award. He has been recognized as one of the seven most influential, young business leaders in Indiana and as Indy’s Best and Brightest in Technology by KPMG.
 

Kim Smith, Executive Project Assistant

Kim is responsible for overseeing most activities at BitWise. This includes managing the BitWise Fellows, accounting, assisting with various events. Prior to coming to BitWise, Kim held the position of Assistant Director at The Masters Study, a small tutorial school with about 115 students. As assistant director her duties included daily organization and preparation for the school days and other school-related activities. Her favorite part of the job was the interaction with the students, teachers and parents.

Kim is driven to see that the CEO's schedule runs smoothly and to keep organization of the office a priority. She is the person that you are most likely to talk to when you call the office or the first person you will see when you come in.


Curt Franke, Vice President of Business Development

Interests: Outside activities mostly revolve around family and faith.  Curt enjoys things that challenge him, such as sports, good books, and Sigma Chi Fraternity.  Diversions also include good movies (and movie lines) and a wide range of music that often includes him singing (as a baritone or bass).
Education: B.S. in Business Administration, Butler University.

Curt oversees the sales effort and is responsible for identifying new business opportunities with both current and potential clients. With the clients’ objectives in mind, Curt helps companies to focus on the strategic use of technology to achieve tangible, measurable business benefits.

Curt graduated Cum Laude from Butler University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Shortly after completing his undergraduate work, Curt braved the insanity of Southern California in the early 90s while serving as a manufacturer’s representative in the construction industry. Since returning to his Indiana roots, Curt has been in sales roles involving car shows and monster trucks and sales training, before settling into sales and marketing roles with Indianapolis-based technology companies.  His ongoing goal is to help his clients and those around him succeed and be glad he is along with them for the adventure.


Bjorn Carlson, Marketing Manager

Bjorn joined BitWise Solutions to integrate marketing solutions into the current business structure and to coordinate marketing efforts for the advancement and proliferation of the company. His position focuses primarily on developing and implementing specific marketing strategies that include advertising and promotional methods to assist the sales team in generating qualified leads as well as coordinating efforts to effectively implement data-driven marketing techniques.  Besides marketing, Bjorn also held the responsibilities of Finance Manager at BitWise for nearly two years before going back to a purely marketing role.

Upon graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University, Bjorn decided to sell his lawn care and landscaping business of 6 years in order to move to Indianapolis to join the BitWise Team. Bjorn has a great interest in small business and entrepreneurship and gained invaluable experience through running his lawn care business as well as through various internships in college. These roles provided him the hands-on opportunity to learn the inner workings of running a small business including HR, finance, payroll, marketing, management, and operations. Some of Bjorn’s achievements include a 4th place qualification at the Business Professionals of America National Competition in Entrepreneurship as well as the Entrepreneurship Major of the Year Award from Indiana Wesleyan University.

Alex overlooks project management and business development with current clients. Essentially, his role at BitWise ensures that clients’ web solutions meet their business goals and needs.

Before landing at BitWise, Alex Jimenez served as an account manager for multiple marketing agencies. His most recent position allowed him to work exclusively with not-for-profit clients – including colleges and universities, membership organizations, and health care organizations. Here, he consulted with his clients on their branding efforts, strategic marketing and research. Prior to that position, Alex served as an account director for a public relations agency, where he was able to work with a variety of businesses.

Currently, Alex holds a board position on the Meridian Kessler Neighborhood Association.


Jeff Parker, Business Analyst/Project Manager

Jeff is responsible for our initiatives through the Evaluate, Design and Build phases of the project lifecycle serving as a business analyst and project manager in his duties.   Jeff works to deliver exceptional products/services and specific results within the defined scope of a project.  Some aspects of his responsibilities include:
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, provide business process descriptions and use cases.
  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision.
  • Serve as conduit between customer and the development team through which requirements, deliverables and acceptance flow.
  • Develop project artifacts (business requirements, use case diagrams, process flow).
  • Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations needed to achieve project goals.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and stakeholders.
Jeff brings experience from a diverse set of companies and industries over the past 14 years and enjoys using technology to solve a customer’s business challenge.


Kristen Ramirez, Business Development Manager

Kristen Ramirez joined BitWise Solutions as Business Development Manager, working exclusively with the market/competitive intelligence product, Comintelli’s Knowledge XChanger.

Kristen comes from Blackboard, an online e-Learning solution. Her knowledge of enterprise, web-based software and extensive experience in client-facing roles make her a great fit for this area at BitWise.  In her spare time, Kristen enjoys spending time with her husband and dogs and rooting for the Carmel Greyhounds, where her husband is a basketball coach.

Michael Ratliff, Marketing/Business Assistant

Michael got his start at BitWise Solutions through his involvement with the BitWise Fellows. Serving as their project manager for over a year, he interfaced between clients and the development and design team over many projects. Now, Michael is gaining valuable experience in the workplace by working alongside the professionals at BitWise while attending college.

He is an active mentor of the current BitWise Fellows team while heading up the BitWise Fellows Alumni initiative.  Michael has a versatile role at BitWise including content placement and developing competitive intelligence solutions.

Roy Neijs, Application Developer

Roy is a Microsoft Certified Solution Developer specializing in ASP.NET, C#, T-SQL, JQuery, Entity Framework, Kentico CMS and other web related languages/techniques.

Roy's primary role at BitWise Solutions is developing custom websites and web applications, including CMS integrations.

Some of Roy's experience at BitWise includes:

Eco-Pak online store: Added an online store to the existing website. The online store allows distributors to place orders for repackaging products, blends, ordering equipment, and managing their customers as well as all tools needed for Eco-Pak to manage all store and customer information.
 
Piezo Technologies: The website was redesigned and rebuilt in Kentico.
 
Wagner, Reese & Crossen: All WRC websites were redesigned and rebuilt in Kentico. All content can be managed from one CMS.
 
Townsend Corporation: Redesign of the old websites and rebuilding them in Kentico.

Scott Workman, Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, Scott oversees all technical development at BitWise. His responsibilities include researching new technologies, designing architecture solutions, overseeing the technical training of the development staff, managing technical aspects of client projects, leading product design and development and guiding internal infrastructure solutions.

Scott graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ball State University in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. Prior to starting BitWise Solutions, Scott worked at Magnavox Electronics and VIA development where he gained experience in various CAD related programming models as well as product design and support. Scott is a Microsoft Certified Developer with expertise in Windows and Internet-based programming methodologies and protocols.

Tom began his career as an application developer with BitWise Solutions. Specializing in open source projects, some of his skills include PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, Visual Basic, C#, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery.
 
Tom graduated Magna Cum Laude from Vincennes University in 2009 with an A.A.S. degree in Web Development. Among his achievements, Tom received the 2008-2009 Outstanding Web Development Student award and was recognized by the state of Indiana for his academics and community involvement with a 2009 Indiana Career and Technical Education Award for Excellence.

Vincent Sanders, Vice President of Operations

As Vice President of Operations, Vincent’s responsibilities include the following positions within the company:

  • Manager, Internal Infrastructure
Prior to Vincent moving into his current position within BitWise, he held the title of Vice President of Client Solutions. In this role, Vincent’s responsibilities included formalizing the company’s client services, as well as fielding business development leads within the existing customer base.

Vincent came to BitWise via the acquisition of competitor WebFx Studios (dba Sapheo) where he was in charge of all day-to-day operations as the Director of Production.

Vincent began his career with Internet banking software producer Virtual Financial Services (VIFI). During his time at VIFI, Vincent held positions in Project Management, Production Management, and finally Product Management. Before VIFI was sold to an industry competitor, Vincent’s role of Product Manager had him in charge of developing new additions to and enhancing the existing product line.


Blake Facey, Senior Software Engineer

A senior programmer for BitWise Solutions, Blake focuses his attention on developing Web-based applications for clients. Blake’s skill set includes ASP.NET, C#, JavaScript, jQuery, Web Standards, CSS, SQL Server, and Oracle. He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional.

When he’s not developing Web applications, Blake is researching and educating himself on the latest programming technologies. Blake is often the go-to person for troubleshooting and problem solving at BitWise.


Greg Herrell, Senior Software Engineer

Greg’s expertise involves solving business problems with custom software. His experience spans thirteen years and several programming skills, including ASP.NET, C#, ASP, COM/MTS Applications, Visual Basic, MS Scripting languages, JavaScript, Web Standards, CSS, SQL Server and Access.

Greg develops both Windows desktop and Web-based software solutions. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and holds certifications in Solutions Architecture and Analysis, C# Web Applications, and C# Windows Forms.


Tim Craver, Application Developer

Education: B.S. in Informatics from Indiana University

As a web developer, Tim is responsible for most of the aspects of the development life cycle at BitWise. Tim will see a project at the dream stage and develop a real world solution for it.

After graduating from Indiana University in December of 2003, Tim’s first job offer was from BitWise Solutions. His first role with BitWise was to head the FACS Web effort for the company. His first two years were spent mostly on developing and delivering FACS Web to clients all over the country. In the past few years Tim has been constantly been keeping pace with FACS Web while also learning new technologies, such as Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) and Kentico. Tim coaches wrestling at Carmel High School and lives in Carmel with his wife, Nicole, and dog, Maximus.

Some of the many web solutions that Tim has built include:
  • Ingersoll Rand Security Technologies (w3.securitytechnologies.com): Leveraging the MOSS platform, this marketing web site does it all, housing content for Ingersoll Rand’s product families and includes dynamic content display and web form creation.
  • MSD of Pike Township (www.pike.k12.in.us): Built on the MOSS platform, this redesigned site significantly updated the look and feel of the site for the Metropolitan School District of Pike Township. Using the MOSS platform provided the organization with the opportunity to customize and easily manage content for the various schools within the district.
  • IntegratedAg Services (www.yieldtrials.com): IntegratedAg Services has managed a test plot program for almost 20 years. The company engaged BitWise to build an interactive, user-friendly way for customers to access the yield results of the test plots. Tim built the interface and the database for the site, which allows IAS to manage the database through a Web interface, manage the ad space on the site, and offers site visitors a variety of ways to view plot data and compare seed varieties.

Brian Maki, Application Developer

Brian is responsible for all aspects of the development life cycle at BitWise. Taking direction from the project manager, Brian will see a project at the concept stage and develop a real world solution for it. Brian has 8+ years experience in web application development.

  • Citizens Gas (www.citizensgas.com): The Citizens Gas website includes a custom customer dashboard and integration with several third party systems.
  • Biocrossroads (www.biocrossroads.com): BioCrossroads advances Indiana’s drug development sector and facilitates connections with the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. The Biocrossroads site includes a unique design and full CMS.
  • DQE Ready (www.dqeready.com): Brian created a custom e-commerce solution for DQE that allows them to manage orders placed online. DQE's product catalog allows for multiple items photos and attachments.
  • Salin Bank (www.salin.com): This redesign project dramatically updated the look of the site, bringing it in line with current banking industry standards. Site features include a banking center and ATM locator, an online education center, and integration with the bank’s Internet banking applications
